MISS COSMO 2025: VIETNAM TO HOST THE 2ND SEASON UNDER THE THEME “RISING DRAGON”

Miss Cosmo 2025 officially kicks off with representatives from over 80 countries and territories. Vietnam will host the second season this November, featuring a vibrant festival-inspired journey that blends fashion, heritage, and cultural exchange across multiple destinations. The Grand Finale will take place on December 20, 2025, in Ho Chi Minh City. 

Ho Chi Minh City, August 22, 2025 – Unicorp, the license holder and organizer of Miss Cosmo 2025, together with UniMedia, the co-organizer, hosted the official Press Conference to launch Miss Cosmo 2025.

The event was attended by President Miss Cosmo Organization, Head of the Miss Cosmo Competition Directing Committee – Mr. Tran Ngoc Nhat; CEO of the Miss Cosmo Organization, Head of the Miss Cosmo Competition Organizing Committee – Mr. Tran Viet Bao Hoang; Miss Cosmo 2024 – Ketut Permata Juliastrid; Runner-Up Miss Cosmo 2024 – Mook Karnruethai Tassabut; along with Miss Cosmo 2025 contestants from various countries and National Directors.

Miss Cosmo is the International Beauty Pageant – Festivals, founded by UniMedia, organized in Vietnam for the first season in 2024. Operated by the Miss Cosmo Organization, the pageant aspires to become a platform that empowers women and creates a lasting positive impact.

Miss Cosmo 2024 crowned Ketut Permata Juliastrid of Indonesia, a symbol of modern beauty, confidence, and strength. Throughout her reign, she promoted cultural exchange across multiple countries, partnered with Smile Train to support cleft surgeries, joined cultural preservation initiatives, and took part in a reforestation project in Bali, affirming her role as a new-generation queen who dares to act and create lasting impact.

Meanwhile, Runner-Up Mook Karnruethai Tassabut of Thailand spent nearly a year in Vietnam, serving as a cultural bridge between the two nations. She actively promoted tourism, cuisine, and trade, proving that the influence of an international runner-up goes far beyond the stage and into the heart of communities.

At the press conference, reigning Miss Cosmo Ketut Permata Juliastrid delivered an impressive opening performance with a mashup of “Into The Cosmo” and “Girl on Fire”. The Indonesian beauty confidently showcased her powerful live vocals, igniting the stage with energy and receiving enthusiastic applause from the audience.

VIETNAM OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCED AS THE HOST COUNTRY FOR MISS COSMO 2025

Vietnam will continue to host the pageant’s second season. This not only reaffirms the country’s capability in organizing international cultural and artistic events but also provides an opportunity to promote its image as a friendly and culturally rich destination. It reflects Vietnam’s growing position on the global beauty and cultural map.

Ahead of the Miss Cosmo 2025 Press Conference, a social media post on the official channels themed “Host Country” attracted over 100,000 interactions, showing strong support from audiences worldwide, especially in countries such as Indonesia, Thailand, and Cambodia. The announcement that reigning Miss Cosmo Ketut Permata Juliastrid will perform her final walk in Vietnam has also been warmly received by fans.

MISS COSMO 2025 THEME: “RISING DRAGON”

Miss Cosmo 2025 officially kicks off its second season with the theme “Rising Dragon.” Inspired by the dragon – a symbol of strength, power, and prosperity – the theme reflects a new vision: Women not only shine on the beauty stage but also rise with resilience and influence in the Cosmo era.

Sharing about its meaning, Mr. Tran Viet Bao Hoang, CEO of Miss Cosmo emphasized: “We tell this story through the image of a sacred creature that represents inner strength and resilience – the Dragon. This symbolizes that Miss Cosmo is ready for a new generation of women leaders, with their inner power awakened and their fearless ‘dragon spirit’ rising.”

Supported by Nam A Bank, the festival combines the Miss Cosmo 2025 Grand Finale with over 80 contestants vying for the Impactful Crown and a music festival featuring top domestic and international artists. Beyond a beauty pageant, it offers a vibrant cultural and entertainment experience for young audiences, promoting tourism and local culture. Miss Cosmo 2025 introduces a special highlight as Runner-up Mook Karnruethai Tassabut will have her own final walk during the Jury Session. The Grand Finale of Miss Cosmo 2025 will be broadcast on AXN

At the press conference, the Miss Cosmo 2025 Organizing Committee announced that AXN, a general entertainment channel owned by KC Global Media – will officially serve as the competition’s global broadcast partner for the next three years.

• Best Of Vietnam – celebrating Vietnam’s landscapes and heritage through fashion collections inspired by ethnic traditions with designer Trung Đinh.
• Carnival Costume – a vibrant parade-style showcase replacing the Carnival segment, emphasizing creativity and festive spirit.
• Green Summit – a sub-award powered by Nam A Bank, highlighting contestants’ innovative sustainability projects.
• Sports Experience – new competitions including Golf and Pickleball, fostering community engagement and dynamic energy.

Contestants will also participate in community projects, promoting social responsibility and humanistic values. The Jury Session in mid-December will feature performances, self-introductions, Swimwear and Evening Gown presentations, and sub-award announcements. The Grand Finale on December 20 at Innovation Park, Ho Chi Minh City, will include Top 21, Swimwear, Top 10, Evening Gown, Top 5 Q&A, Top 2 Debate, and the crowning of Miss Cosmo.

After being crowned, Miss Cosmo 2025 will reside and work primarily in Vietnam during her reign. She will collaborate with the Miss Cosmo Organization to fulfill her duties and complete her term before passing on the crown to her successor. The runner-up will also join the Miss in various activities throughout her reign.
