PRESS RELEASE: THE OFFICIAL SASHING CEREMONY FOR THE MISS COSMO 2024 DELEGATES

On the afternoon of September 15, 2024, at the Daewoo Hotel in Hanoi, the Miss Cosmo Organization officially presented sashes to the delegates participating in the inaugural Miss Cosmo pageant. The organizers defined the ideal beauty queen as someone who embodies a new era of elegance, aligning with the modern values Miss Cosmo seeks to promote. The event also featured detailed information on the mission and privileges of the Miss Cosmo titleholders, including the Miss and Runners-up, during their year of reign and residency in Vietnam.

Miss Cosmo 2024 is being held with international professional standards and features an array of exciting and dynamic activities across Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and many major tourist destinations in Vietnam. The competition has now entered its most critical phase. From September 12 to September 15, most delegates have arrived in Hanoi to commence their participation.

Upon arriving in Vietnam, many delegates expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the organizing committee’s enthusiastic support in the visa application process and other entry procedures. Additionally, for contestants experiencing health issues, the Miss Cosmo organization has continuously offered encouragement and support to ensure their full involvement in the pageant.

In the initial days, the contestants have primarily been engaged in glamshot photo sessions, promotional video shoots, interviews, and measurements. To prepare for the “Hello Cosmo From Vietnam” Fashion Show, the contestants have also visited designer Le Thanh Hoa’s showroom to try on their outfits. Additionally, in response to the unfortunate aftermath of Typhoon Yagi, the contestants and the Miss Cosmo Organization have dedicated time to visit and support those affected by the disaster in the Northern provinces.

Miss Cosmo 2024 is not only promoting Vietnam but also celebrating the diverse beauty and heritage of countries worldwide. The competition has generated significant online buzz, showcasing the global appeal of its contestants, with contestants’ captivating beauty sparking discussions in both domestic and international communities.

On September 15, at the beginning of the sash presentation ceremony, Mr. Tran Viet Bao Hoang, CEO of Miss Cosmo and Head of the Miss Cosmo 2024 Organizing Committee, expressed his sincere gratitude to the contestants and especially to the national directors for their confidence and support in this inaugural year of the competition. The representative of the organizing committee also provided an update on the situation in Vietnam following the impact of Typhoon Yagi, which had led to some adjustments in the event schedule.

The contestants beamed with joy as they received their sashes from Mr. Tran Viet Bao Hoang, the representative of the organizing committee. Cheers and shouts filled the air as they proudly announced their names and countries to the global audience. Each sash symbolized a nation’s pride and served as a powerful motivator for the contestants, boosting their confidence as they prepared to shine on the international beauty stage.

Currently, due to various external reasons, nearly 10 contestants representing different countries have not yet arrived in Vietnam. They are still in the process of waiting and completing the necessary entry procedures to participate in the upcoming activities of the competition.

At the event, Dr. Bich Na, the Health Director of Miss Cosmo 2024, shared valuable and insightful tips with the contestants on beauty care and health care throughout their long journey in the Miss Cosmo. Dr. Bich Na also presented the delegates with special gifts, including the notable ruffled scarf, a cultural symbol of the people from the Southern region of Vietnam.

Before embarking on the busy schedule of the competition, Mr. Tran Viet Bao Hoang, the Head of the Organizing Committee, emphasized to the contestants the competition’s slogan: “IMPACTFUL BEAUTY.” The distinguished women of Miss Cosmo not only embody the beauty and qualities of a new generation of resilient female leaders but are also empowered to realize their action plans in collaboration with the Miss Cosmo Organization.

Following the coronation, Miss Cosmo will reside and work primarily in Vietnam throughout her reign, collaborating closely with the Miss Cosmo Organization to carry out her duties and fulfill her term. The Runners-up will also participate in various activities alongside the Miss during the reign. She will join Miss Cosmo in committing to positive actions aimed at advancing global communities towards a better future.
