BEST OF THE WORLD FESTIVAL: ALMOST 60 DELEGATES OF MISS COSMO 2024 ENJOYED THE GLOBAL CULTURAL FESTIVAL WITH THOUSANDS OF FANS IN HO CHI MINH CITY

On September 29th, 2024, nearly 60 Miss Cosmo 2024 delegates joined the vibrant “Best Of The World Festival” hosted by Gamuda Land at Celadon City, Ho Chi Minh City. The event featured a food and folk games festival, a cultural costume carnival, a music and fashion show, attracting thousands of spectators.

With the theme “Vivid Vietnam”, Miss Cosmo 2024 has organized a series of vibrant festivals across Vietnam, from the North to the South. From the National Costume Show in Thung Nham (Ninh Binh), the “Hello Cosmo From Vietnam” Fashion Show in Khe Coc (Ninh Binh), to the “Best Of Vietnam Exhibition – Ao dai Show” in Bao Loc (Lam Dong), all events were organized professionally with international standards, providing the contestants with unforgettable experiences. Miss Cosmo 2024 aims to connect and promote beauty, culture, tourism, and people of Vietnam, with enthusiastic participation and support from international delegates and global audiences.

On September 29th, the culminating event of Miss Cosmo 2024 festival series, the “Best Of The World Festival”, was successfully held at Celadon City, Ho Chi Minh City. Hosted by Gamuda Land, the festival celebrated global diversity through a vibrant showcase of arts, music, fashion, cuisine, and cultural traditions from around the world. Featuring food and folk games, a cultural costume carnival, and a music and fashion show, the free-to-attend event attracted a large crowd, creating a vibrant cultural atmosphere. 

Food & Folk Games Festival

The food and folk games festival was a microcosm of the world’s diverse cultures. It not only promoted Vietnam’s beauty but also gave participating countries a platform to showcase their unique cultural heritage. The festival took nearly 60 Miss Cosmo 2024 contestants and attendees on a global culinary and cultural journey, featuring authentic experiences from around the world, from European beer festivals to Thailand’s Songkran.

At the European zone, contestants immersed themselves in lively beer festivals, enjoyed soulful Flamenco music, and experienced traditional games like “Bullfighting”. The African zone offered unique cultural activities such as indigenous face painting, pot decoration, and archery. In the Americas zone, visitors could unleash their creativity with “Cosmo” themed painting and showcase their athletic skills in the “Quick Shot” game. The most vibrant zone was Asia, where contestants and attendees enjoyed a colorful Songkran Kids festival, transformed into traditional characters, and participated in familiar Vietnamese folk games like “Carrying Water to the Village” and “Blindfolded Pot Hitting”. This was the first time Miss Cosmo 2024 contestants had the opportunity to interact directly with the audience and experience the diverse cultures of the world right in Vietnam.

Carnival Parade

The Miss Cosmo 2024 Carnival at Celadon City was a spectacular event, with contestants from around the world showcasing their national costumes. The lively parade, filled with vibrant colors and enthusiastic crowds, celebrated the diversity of cultures. From the graceful Vietnamese “Áo dài” to the colorful Latin American attire, the carnival was a visual feast showcasing the diversity of global cultures.

The Miss Cosmo 2024 contestants not only showcased their beauty but also their talents by performing traditional dances from their home countries. The enthusiastic cheers from the crowd created a truly festive atmosphere as the Miss Cosmo 2024 beauties enjoyed the vibrant carnival. The parade left a lasting impression on the audience, sparking curiosity and interest in the cultures of different nations

Music Festival 

The highly anticipated music festival was the grand finale of the “Best Of The World Festival”. Featuring top Vietnamese and international artists, the concert drew a large crowd. Miss Cosmo 2024 contestants enjoyed a relaxing evening,immersed in the vibrant atmosphere and captivating performances.

The concert kicked off with a powerful performance by Phương Vy, belting out popular hits like “Despacito,” “On And On,” and “Girl On Fire.” The “Despacito” performance was particularly special with the surprise appearance of Miss Cosmo 2024 contestants in their national costumes, dancing along with the audience. Mỹ Mỹ continued the energy with many hits and soulful performances. Pháp Kiều’s energetic rap and Thảo Trang’s fiery dance moves kept the audience engaged. The night concluded with a spectacular performance by international music star Shontelle, leaving the audience and Miss Cosmo 2024 contestants in awe. 

Fashion Show “Cosmo The Show”

As part of the “Best Of The World Festival,” Cosmo Academy and Unimedia presented the Cosmo The Show fashion event in Ho Chi Minh City. Following previous shows in Thung Nham and Bao Loc, this event featured the latest collections by designers Ivan Tran and Den Nguyen, making it a highlight of the festival.

Ivan Tran presented his “INNER” collection, featuring 30 meticulously crafted, avant-garde designs. Inspired by powerful warriors, the collection primarily uses white, cream, and black hues. The designer expertly combined these basic colors to create a luxurious and sophisticated aesthetic. The intricate cuts and accessories further enhance the warrior spirit – a balance of strength, femininity, and fashion. 

Designer Den Nguyen presented over 20 pieces in his “PURITY” collection. Inspired by the concept of purity, the collection features delicate and elegant designs that exude a sense of innocence. Every detail, from the silhouette to the fabric and embellishments, was carefully considered to ensure both comfort for the young models and a visually stunning presentation that truly captures the spirit of the collection.

Cosmo The Show, a positive and engaging platform for kids aged 5-15, has successfully completed 3 shows. Showcasing their talents in modeling, singing, dancing, and performing, the young participants have left a lasting impression on the audience. With its positive impact, Cosmo The Show is expected to continue growing and inspiring young talents.

Creating a global cultural exchange right in Ho Chi Minh City, the “Best Of The World Festival” as part of Miss Cosmo 2024 immerses nearly 60 contestants and audiences in authentic festival experiences from around the world. Guests can savor international cuisine, explore traditional games, and enjoy various exciting activities. This event marks a significant milestone for Miss Cosmo in its inaugural year.
