Taking on the prestigious role of ambassador, these beauty queens will not only represent the event but also promote the culture and vibrant image of Ho Chi Minh City to both domestic and international communities.
The Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Week, first held in 2021, was conceived as a series of events showcasing tourism, sports, and music, offering a rich experience for both local residents and international tourists, particularly during the year-end festival season. Since its inception, the Tourism Week has evolved into an annual traditional activity for the tourism sector. After three successful editions, it has gained popularity among both locals and tourists and has expanded to neighboring regions. Building on this success, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, in collaboration with other agencies, the Thu Duc People’s Committee, and district authorities, will organize the 4th Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Week in 2024 under the theme “Vibrant Festival Season”.
The 2024 Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Week will be even more meaningful with the involvement of talented beauty queens from the Cosmo family in their ambassadorial roles: Miss Cosmo Vietnam 2022 – Nguyen Thi Ngoc Chau, Top 5 Miss Cosmo 2024 – Bui Xuan Hanh, Runner-up Miss Cosmo Vietnam 2023 – Hoang Nhung, 1st Runner-up Miss Cosmo Vietnam 2022 – Thao Nhi Le, and 2nd Runner-up Miss Cosmo Vietnam 2022 – Huynh Pham Thuy Tien. Specially, Runner-up Miss Cosmo 2024 – Mook Karnruethai Tassabut will also take on the prestigious role of ambassador for this event. This marks the first time the Thai-born beauty queen will represent Ho Chi Minh City and promote its culture and people to both domestic and international visitors, symbolizing the intersection of cultures.

On December 5th, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism officially launched the 4th edition of the Tourism Week 2024, kicking off a dynamic series of cultural, artistic, and sporting events. The opening ceremony took place at the iconic Ben Thanh Market, one of Ho Chi Minh City’s most famous landmarks. During the ceremony, the beauty queens donned the traditional Vietnamese áo dài, a graceful dress symbolizing Vietnamese culture. Their elegant appearance captured the public’s admiration, with the áo dài not only celebrating the graceful beauty of Vietnamese women but also sending a message of respect for heritage and national identity. The áo dài, paired with the rich cultural atmosphere of Ben Thanh Market, blends tradition with modern beauty in the heart of dynamic Ho Chi Minh City, showcasing its fusion of heritage and progress.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the beauty queens expressed their honor and pride in being selected as ambassadors for the 2024 Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Week. They hope to leverage their influence to further promote the culture and people of Ho Chi Minh City – a city that is dynamic, creative, and filled with warmth towards both domestic and international communities. The 2024 Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Week will run from December 5 to 12, featuring over 80 cultural, artistic, sporting, culinary, and tourism activities. These events will take place across the city with unique promotional spaces designed to showcase the characteristics of each locality. Notably, augmented reality (AR) technology will be applied in activities, offering an exciting and interactive experience for both locals and visitors, providing a dynamic and realistic way to explore the culture, history, and geography of Ho Chi Minh City. In addition to telling stories about the culture, history, and people of Ho Chi Minh City, the 4th Tourism Week will create a creative platform for businesses, organizations, and individuals, contributing to enhancing the quality of tourism services and promoting Vietnam’s image globally.
