For the first time, veteran diplomat Pham Sanh Chau joins the Miss Cosmo 2025 judging panel, bringing over three decades of diplomatic expertise and high professional standards in candidate presentation, communication, and critical thinking.

Pham Sanh Chau is a businessman, political figure, educator, and global diplomatic advocate. He currently serves as Managing Director – Chief Executive Officer of VinGroup Asia in Vietnam. A graduate of the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam (1982), he later pursued advanced programs in international relations, international law, and strategic studies in the Netherlands, Switzerland, the United States, and Norway.

He previously served as Vietnam’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to India, concurrently accredited to Nepal and Bhutan, playing a key role in establishing the first direct flight route between Vietnam and India. Throughout his diplomatic career, he held several senior positions including: former Assistant to the Minister of Foreign Affairs; Special Envoy of the Prime Minister of Vietnam for UNESCO affairs; Secretary-General of the Vietnam National Commission for UNESCO; and Vietnam’s Ambassador to the European Union, Belgium, Luxembourg, UNESCO, and La Francophonie. In 2017, he became Vietnam’s first candidate for the position of UNESCO Director-General.

Pham Sanh Chau has significantly contributed to promoting and preserving Vietnamese culture on the global stage, advancing the recognition of 13 UNESCO-listed Vietnamese cultural heritages, such as the Hue Royal Court Music, the Worship of the Hung Kings, and Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park. These achievements reflect his persistence, open-minded thinking, and global connectivity.

Following the precedent set in 2024, when former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Quang Vinh joined Miss Cosmo as a judge – Pham Sanh Chau is expected to provide a fresh perspective, evaluating contestants not only on physical presentation and performance skills but also on independent thinking, message delivery, and international communication.
